On May 22-27, 2016 Carrie Saxifrage, the author of the first climate change memoir The Big Swim, Coming Ashore in a World Adrift, and Anne Haven McDonnell, associate professor at the Institute of American Indian Arts, present Inhale Wilderness, Exhale Stories at Hollyhock a "non-profit educational institute dedicated to personal, professional and organizational development" located on Cortes Island in British Columbia.

For years, Carrie and Annie have sought out the wild places on Cortes Island. This year, they invite you to join them for a pleasurable, purposeful week of wild exploration, quiet watching, deep thinking, inspired writing and supportive feedback toward publication.
