In the Business of Change she visits cities like Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, New York, New Orleans, Baltimore and Vancouver to meet social entrepreneurs who are taking steps to revitalize their communities.  Elisa says, "To provide a diversity of voices, I've included a range of social enterprises in this book, some that have been around for years, others that are newer to the sector. ...My focus in on sharing stories of these visionaries, innovators transforming lives and offering tips and inspiration for others."

In the Business of Change chronicles how social entrepreneurs weary of waste and injustice are using business savvy to tackle challenges in their communities. Part story-telling, part lessons learned, this book is for everyone who wants to rebuild their communities and believes that business can be a powerful, positive force for change.
