We are excited to announce that Climate-wise Landscaping: Practical Solutions for a Sustainable Future by Sue Reed and Ginny Stibolt won Gold in the Ecology and Environment category of the Foreword Indie Awards.

The ecology and environment category honours books that comment on environmental themes, particularly as applied to the relationships between humans, society, and the environment. Often, environmental literature is understood to promote care and concern for the environment and advocates a more thoughtful and ecologically sensitive relationship of man with nature.

A Finer Future: Creating an Economy in the Service of Life took home Bronze in the Business & Economics category.

This category honours books that examines economic, financial, and management issues in a readable manner. They also may explore the lives of prominent business people, tracing their journey to success in business.

The Aging of Aquarius: Igniting Power and Purpose as an Elder by Helen Wilkes received a Bronze in the Self-help category. This category recognizes books that describe how to improve one's life in some way, either by raising self-esteem, increasing health, or learning a new skill.

Over 2,000 entries were submitted in 56 categories, with Foreword’s editors choosing approximately 10 finalists per genre. Those finalists were then mailed to individual librarians and booksellers charged with picking the Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners.

Congratulations to all the winners!
