Hello, We are all aware that every American home is an armory of weapons. I am curious what evolved in Russia with regards to households with guns and how you see it evolving in America. Were roving gangs armed with personal weapons? Did you have to pack heat to commute to work? Or were guns used mainly in hunting? Was there any advantage to actually owning a gun in Russia? Self-defense?

I personally see very little advantage to owning a weapon but would consider your comments on it as all your readers would.

Love your work, Bob

In Russia, only the "professionals" carried serious weapons. Hand guns are useful as concealed weapons, at close range and as weapons of execution. For a while there was an obsession with air pistols, mace and self-defense training. My feeling about firearms is that they have to be taken as part of a balanced diet of commando training, military discipline (lose your weapon=get shot) and an organized schedule of watches and patrols. What we are more likely to have in the States is loonies going off their meds and shooting up the shopping mall or the office building.

The frontiers of western civilization in Africa are just about collapsed now. South Africa is being propped up by massive amounts of Gold. https://run3az.com
